Weekend: Campionati, Internazionali e World Cup nei Paesi Bassi, Germania, Australia ed Estonia
Tanta carne al fuoco questo fine settimana. Ad Ermelo, i Paesi Bassi hanno incoronato il nuovo Campione di Dressage Nazionale, mentre ad Aachen una Nations Cup ed un internazionale da pelle d’oca. Completano il calendario la tappa estone di World Cup ed il breve 3* di Brisbane, Australia.
Dutch Dressage Championships avvincente fino all’ultima ripresa nai Paesi Bassi. Big Tour dall’inizio esplosivo, un Grand Prix dove l’intero podio è ammassato a poca distanza dall’80%. Vittoria per Edward Gal su Glock’S Voice con 79.500% seguito dal compagno di scuderia Hans Peter Minderhoud su Glock’S Johnson con 79.340%. Chiude il podio con 78.360% Diederik Van Silfhout in sella ad Arlando N.O.P..
Nello Special di Sabato Marieke Van Der Putten su Zingaro-Apple conquista la vittoria con 73.706% davanti a Danielle Heijkoop in sella a Badari (70.569%) ed a Jean-René Luijmes su Aswin (68.569%).
Domenica, il ritiro inaspettato di Edward Gal e Glock’s Voice, deciso all’ultimo momento per non sacrificare troppo il cavallo in vista delle Olimpiadi, apre nuove prospettive ai binomi in gara nel Grand Prix Freestyle, test conclusivo dal Big Tour che incoronerà il Campione Olandese di Dressage. Il momento clou arriva un attimo dopo la grande esibizione di Diederik Van Silfhout che in sella ad Arlando N.O.P. è in grado di superare con 84.825% l’ottimo 80.850% che poco prima Hans Peter Minderhoud aveva ottenuto su Glock’S Johnson e di resistere all’attacco di Adelinde Cornelissen che dall’alto della sella di Jerich Parzival riesce a far proprio il secondo posto con 81.425%.
Con questa vittoria, Diederik Van Silfhout ed Arlando N.O.P. danno il via ad una escalation di celebrazioni delle quali le più importanti sono state quelle per la loro ascesa a Campioni D’Olanda di Dressage e per la contestuale nomina, o conferma, del Team Olandese che viaggerà a Rio per cercare di conquistare una medaglia.
Intanto, circa 250 Km più a sud, si sta disputando il CDIO5* Aachen, un evento dal sapore decisamente Olimpico. Il Grand Prix 5*, primo test della Nations Cup, sbalordisce immediatamente grazie alle caratteristiche che accomunano i tre binomi in testa, due fattori che analizzati in prospettiva risultano essere estremamente interessanti: sono tutti tedeschi ed hanno tutti fatto registrare un punteggio oltre l’80%. Isabell Werth su Weihegold Old è la vincitrice della ripresa con 83.271%, Kristina Bröring-Sprehe in sella a Desperados Frh con 82.314% segue al secondo posto mentre Dorothee Schneider su Showtime Frh chiude il podio con 80.700%. Un successo schiacciante che in pratica, grazie ai quasi 28.000 punti di vantaggio sul Team USA, 246.285 vs 218.414, consegna al Team Germania la Nations Cup, quando ancora manca un prova all’appello, il Grand Prix Special.
La prova GP Special, che sarebbe dovuta essere la decisiva, di fatti non lo è stata. Il podio della ripresa non ha visto cambiamenti sostanziali, solo un rimescolamento dei binomi, ancora una volta tutti di casa ed i soli ad aver oltrepassato la soglia dell’80%. Questa volta a guidare il terzetto c’è Kristina Bröring-Sprehe in sella a Desperados Frh con 83.725%. Secondo posto per Dorothee Schneider e Showtime Frh con 81.902% mentre per Isabell Werth e Weihegold Old c’è la terza posizione con 80.686%. Il podio così completato celebra il successo del Team Germania nella Nations Cup con il punteggio globale di 492.598, seguito dal Team USA con 437.139 punti e dal Team Danimarca con 430.418 punti.
Con la Domenica, è arrivato il momento del GP Freestyle, conclusione di un fine settimana pieno di emozioni. Ancora una volta il trio di amazzoni tedesche domina la scena, questa volta con una lieve differenza: la soglia di punteggio è salita ad oltre l’86%. Per le amazzoni stesse è stato un evento dalle forti sensazioni. Monica Theodorescu, coach della squadra tedesca, ha candidamente ammesso di aver avuto la pelle d’oca. Kristina Bröring-Sprehe e Desperados Frh con 88.825% hanno rimesso in chiaro per quale motivo si trovino al vertice della FEI World Dressage Individual Ranking List, mentre Isabell Werth con Weihegold Old con 86.950% e Dorothee Schneider con Showtime Frh con 86.925% si sono dichiarate apertamente come possibili, e probabili, medaglisti alle prossime Olimpiadi di Rio de Janeiro.
Verso est, raggiungiamo l’Estonia per la tappa di Coppa Del Mondo di Ruila. Una sola protagonista, la bielorussa Hanna Karasiova. L’amazzone ha prima conquistato le prime due posizioni del podio del Grand Prix di apertura davanti all’amazzone estone Dina Ellermann su Landy’S Akvarel, terza con 65.96%, vincendo in sella ad Arlekino con 68.160% e piazzandosi seconda in sella a Zodiak con 66.020%. Con Arlekino ha poi condotto un ottimo Freestyle nella prova conclusiva si sabato ottenendo dalla giuria 73.225%, percentuale che le ha permesso di staccare di 2 punti il binomio più insidioso, quello formato da Dina Ellermann e Landy’S Akvarel, che deve accontentarsi del secondo posto con 71.225%. Terza piazza per l’atleta svedese Per Duvefelt su Edvin con 68.525%.
Agli antipodi per il CDI3* di Brisbane dove Victoria Welch in sella a Brentanus è riuscita ad infilare tre vittorie consecutive. Nel Grand Prix il binomio si è imposto con 64.460% davanti a Jeremy Janjic su Django Of Cacharel, secondo classificato con 63.160%, ed a Mary Warren che in sella a Mindarah Park Ramaden ha chiuso con 62.460%. Identico podio, punteggi differenti, al termine del GP Freestyle. Victoria Welch e Brentanus chiudono in testa con 67.825% davanti al 67.000% di Jeremy Janjic e Django Of Cacharel ed al 66.950% di Mary Warren su Mindarah Park Ramaden. Chiudere il CDI3* la prova Special di domenica, concorsa in solitaria, e vinta con 65.804%, da Victoria Welch e Brentanus dopo il ritiro di Mary Warren e Mindarah Park Ramaden.
